Think About

Something to Think about
Assalamu Alaikum.

-Funny how a $20 bill looks so big when you take it to Mosque,
but so small when you take it to the market.
-Funny how long it takes to do Zikr for an hour,
but how quickly a team plays 60 minutes of basketball.
-Funny how long a couple of hours spent at Mosque are,
but how short they are when watching a movie.
-Funny how we can't think of anything to say when we pray,
but don'to have difficulty thinking of things to talk about to a friend.
-Funny how we get thrilled when a baseball game goes into extra innings,
but we complain when a "Tarahvi" during Ramadhan is longer than the regular time.
-Funny how hard it is to read a Para in the Quran,
but how easy it is to read 100 pages of a best selling novel.
-Funny how people want to get a front seat at any game or concert,
but scramble to get a back row at mosque so that scramble out.
-Funny how we need 2 or 3 weeks advance notice to fit a Mosque event into our schedule,
but can adjust our schedule for other events at the last moment.
-Funny how hard it is for people learn a simple Preaching well enough to tell others,
but how simple it is for the same people to understand and repeat gossip.
-Funny how we believe what the newspaper says,
but question what the Quran says.
-Funny how everyone wants to go to heaven provided
they do not have to believe, or to think, or to say, or do anything.
-Funny how you can send a thousand 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire,
but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing.
FUNNY, ISN'T IT?
Are you laughing?
Are you thinking?
Spread the Word and give thanks to Allah for He is Good & Mercifull!

HONEY

Honey
The Holy QURAN in Surat an-Nahl vr.68-69 says:
"And your Lord revealed to the bee saying: Make hives in the mountains
and in the trees and in what they build: Then eat of all the fruits and walk
in the ways of your Lord submissively. There comes forth from within it a
beverage of many colours, in which there is healing for men; most surely
there is a sign in this for a people who reflect." Hey Buddy!
What's your Life problem? What's your weak point in life?
Search for it down & See how HONEY can cure it.

Some common daily problems where HONEY is very useful are:
Migraine, Bed wetting, Hyperactivity, Poor Digestion, Hair Conditioner,
Baby's Bottle, Cough mixture, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc........ E.g.
If your problem is Migraine, scroll down & go to the statement of Migraine.
You'll be told what to do & see the cure. Get Going......Common.
Kindly read all the statements & see how HONEY is useful.
The Powers of Honey Over the centuries, the great power and strength possessed
by honey has been under estimated by scientists. If only they looked towards ISLAM,
they would have found an element whose curing ability has surprised all levels of Intellect.
A few of the very many cures from honey have been outlined:
For burns Apply freely over burns. It cools, removes pain and aids fast healing
without scarring. Apart from being a salve and antibiotic, bacteria cannot live in honey.
Bed Wetting A teaspoon of honey before bed aids water retention and calms fears in children.
Sleeplessness A dessert spoon of honey in a mug of hot milk aids sleep and works wonders!
Hyperactivity Honey is a mild sedative with minerals, vitamins, amino acids etc.
Replace all white sugar with honey. White sugar is highly stimulating with no food qualities!
Nasal Congestion Place a dessert spoon of honey in a basin of hot water and
inhale fumes after covering your head with a towel over the basin. Very effective.
Wounds or Grazes Cover wound with honey and a bandage. Excellent healer.
For Fatigue Dissolve a dessert spoon of honey in warm water or quarter honey
balance of water in a jug and keep in the fridge. Honey is primarily fructose and
glucose and so it is quickly absorbed by the digestive system. (Honey is a unique
natural stabiliser - ancient Greek athletes took honey for stamina before competing
and as a reviver after competition.)
Facial Deep Cleanser Mix honey with oatmeal approx. 50/50 till thick and apply
as a face pack. Leave on for half an hour then wash off. Great as a deep cleanser for acne etc.
Poor Digestion Mix honey with apple cider vinegar approx. 50/50 and dilute to taste with water.
This aids digestion. (Also reputed to be wonderful for the joints.)
Hair Conditioner Mix honey with equal quantity of Olive Oil and cover head with a warm towel for
half an hour then shampoo off. Feeds hair and scalp. Hair will never look or feel better!
Sore Throats Let a teaspoon of honey melt in the back of the mouth and trickle down the throat.
Eases inflamed raw tissues.
For Stress Honey in water is a stabiliser - calms highs and raises lows.
Use approx. 25 percent honey to water.
Anaemia Honey is the best blood en-richer by raising corpuscle content.
The darker the honey the more minerals it contains. Food Preservative Cakes with
honey replacing sugar stay fresher longer due to natural antibiotics.
Reduce liquids by approx. one-fifth to allow for moisture in honey. Heart patients
These people are well advised to replace white sugar (sucrose) with honey, natural fructose and glucose.
Hay-fever Chewing the tops of comb honey stimulates the immune system
due to minute amounts of pollen. During the season chew for 20 minutes a teaspoon
of bee capping (tops) five to six times per day. Highly effective and useful for asthma
sufferers as well. Baby's Bottle Four teaspoons of honey to a baby's bottle of water is an
excellent pacifier and multivitamin additive. If baby's motions are too liquid then reduce
by half a teaspoon; if too solid increase by half a teaspoon.
Teething Honey rubbed on a baby's gums is a mild sedative and anaesthetic.
Osteoporosis English research has shown that a teaspoon of honey per day aids calcium
utilisation and prevents osteoporosis. Essential from age 50 onwards.
Long Life One common fact world-wide is that the most long-lived people are regular
users of honey. An interesting fact yet to be explained is that beekeepers suffer less
from cancer and arthritis than any other occupational group world-wide.
Migraine Use a dessertspoon of honey dissolved in half a glass of warm water. Sip at start of attack.
If necessary repeat in 20 minutes. Always effective (so tip goes) as migraine is stress related.
Conjunctivitis (pus in the eye) Hon.

Smoking Haraam

Smoking Haram-Why?
**********************
The declaration that "There is no God Worthy of being worshipped except Allah & that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah",
demands that the Muslim accepts the Decrees set by Allah and by His Messenger-Muhammad (p.b.u.h.)
Islam is a Revelation from Allah with a complete code of life.
It tells what is good and what is evil: Allah says in the Holy Quran:
And We have shown him (man) the two ways (good and evil).
(Quran 90/10)
He allows them all that is good and lawful, and prohibits them as unlawful all that is evil (things, deeds, beliefs, persons, foods, drinks, etc.).
(Quran 7/157)
So, is smoking (cigarettes, pipes, etc.) evil or not?
Let us examine its effects:* Smoking is a killer: causes lung-cancer, lung-tuberculosis and heart diseases.
Allah says: And do not kill yourselves.
(Quran 4/29)
He also says: And do not throw yourselves into destruction.
(Quran 2/195)
These verses are sufficient to make smoking Haram.
* Smoking is a wasting of wealth. Allah says: ...
But spend not wastefully (your wealth) in the manner of a spendthrift, Verily, spendthrifts are brothers of the devils, and the Devil (Satan) is ever ungrateful to his Lord.
(Quran 17/26-27)
* The smoker is unjust to himself as well as his family by burning away his money and his chest!*
The smoker not only causes harm to himself, he/she also inflicts harms upon others around him/her.
The Prophet (p.b.u.h.) said:
"There should be neither harming nor reciprocating harm."
(Saheeh Al-Jami 7517)*
The smokers cause the spread of evil; they smoke openly and thus encourage others to do the same.
* The smokers dislike fasting and praying because they become impatient.
They want to go for the next "round". The smoker becomes like an edict.*
The smoker smells bad!
His car, home, clothes etc. carry the bad smell too.
From the above, it is clear that smoking is evil and thus it is Haram (unlawful).
If you are under any kind of stress, then turn to Allah, read the Holy Quran, and be with non-smokers.
Seek Allah's help and don’t be enslaved to something that burns you and your money.

Difference between Friday Dhikr

DIFFERENCES BETWEEN A FRIDAY DHIKR (KHUTBAH) AND A LECTURE
The Friday Khutbah Other Lectures
1. The Friday Khutbah is a condition for the validity of Jumuلh Salaat. Without the Khutbah, Jumuلh Salaat is not valid. Not conditional for any Salaat.
2. Valid only on Fridays Permissible on any day.
3 .Can only be performed after Zawaal on Friday. No time restraint.
4. Its recital to only one or two persons is not permissible according to the Hanafi Mazhab. At least three people excluding the Imaam have to be present.

5. While the Khutbah is in progress, it is not permissible to speak, read, etc. Permissible but inappropriate without dire necessity.
6. Consists of two Khutbahs divided by a short interval between the first and second Khutbas. A single lecture.
7. The two Khutbahs have to be separated by a short interval (during which the Imaam has to sit on the Mimbar). No such practice necessary for any lecture.
8. A single Tahmeed, Tasbeeh or Tahleel will suffice to discharge the obligation (However, this is against the Sunnah. A single Tahmeed, Tahleel or Tasbeeh is not a lecture.
9. Allah Taلla has decreed the Jumuلh Khutbah Fardh. A lecture is not Fardh.
10. Those who do not listen to or attend the Friday Khutbah are Faasiq (flagrant sinners) in term of the Shariلh. Not so in the case of other lectures.
11. If the Friday Khutbah is delivered before Zawaal, it will have to be repeated. Not so in the case of other lectures.
12. Performed in big towns or cities. Not permissible in small places or little villages. Can be held anywhere.
13. Not permissible to recite it after the Jumuلh Salaat. Permissible before or after any Salaat.
14. Azaan has to be called in the presence of the Imaam while he is seated on the Mimbar just before the Khutbah. Not so in the case of any lecture.
15. The Friday Khutbah is compulsorily followed by Salaat. No Salaat has been ordained after or before a lecture.
16. The Friday Khutbah is representative of two Rakaats of Salaat. Does not represent any Salaat.
17. To be performed in a state of Tahaarat (i.e. being free from the impurities of Janaabat) and having Wudhu. Not the case with other lectures.
18. The Friday Khutbah recited in the presence of only a female audience is not permissible. It is permissible.
19. Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) had a Mimbar especially erected for the purpose of the Jumuلh Khutbah. Mimbar not necessary for other lectures.
20. The Jumuلh Khutbah is among the Shaمir (salient features) of Islam. Not among the Shaمir of Islam.
21. Has to be delivered in a standing position. Can be delivered in a sitting position.
22. Consists of Fardh and Sunnat factors. Do not consist of Fardh and Sunnat factors.
23. The Friday Khutbah is a Zikr. Not a Zikr.
24. Must be rendered in Arabic. Can be delivered in any language.

When Recite Holy Quran

Essential Points to Remember when Reciting the Holy Qur'an
To the Mu'min-believer, the Holy Qur'an is indeed priceless and incomparable. For him, the words perpetually ringing in his mind - "This is the book (Holy Qur'an) which has no doubt" - injects his soul with inspiration. He is overtaken with the desire to subject his life to the will of Allah Ta'ala by following His commands as elaborated in the Holy Qur'an.
It is always the desire of a Mu'min to recite the Holy Qur'an correctly and in the best manner. In order to fulfil the Haqq (rights) of recitation, the following important points should be observed.
1. The Holy Qur'an must be read for the pleasure of Allah Ta'ala and for His happiness.
2. The Holy Qur'an must be read with proper pronounciation, knowing and employing the basic rules of Tajweed.
3. Recite as often as possible, at every available time.Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) said, 'Oh reciter of the Qur'an! Don't neglect the Qur'an. Fulfill its rights by reciting it day and night. Recite it with a melodious voice and ponder on its contents (to practice) so that you are successful. Don't attempt to look for any (financial) gains in this world because your (great) reward will be in the hereafter.
4. When reciting the Holy Qur'an, one should create an expression of fear and absolute respect to the greatness of the words of Allah Ta'ala, as if to say that the reciter is in the presence of his Creator.
5. Tears should flow from one's eyes while the heart takes effect from the words of Allah, as Allah says, 'The believers are those whose hearts tremor when the name of Allah is mentioned and whose Imaan increases when the Qur'an is recited. (S8 V2) In a narration of Hadhrat Umar (Radhiallahu Anhu), he reported that it was asked to Rasulullah 'Who is the best reciter in regard to (the reciter's) voice? He replied, 'The person whose recitation is such that you can determine that the reciter has the fear of Allah in him'. (Tabrani)
6. One should at all times show respect to the Holy Qur'an and never dishonour it. It is reported from Hadhrat Anas (Radhiallahu Anhu) that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said, 'The Holy Qur'an is better than everything (of this world in status). So whoever honours it has honoured Allah Ta'ala and whoever dishonours it has (in reciting) dishonoured the rights of Allah Ta'ala (Riaaya)
7. Always fulfill the etiquettes of the recitation of the Holy Qur'an with a genuine awareness of the fact that these are the words of Allah Ta'ala, thus giving its recitation due awe and majesty.
8. Ensure that you are in a state of wudhu whilst holding the Holy Qur'an.
9. Whilst reading realise that Allah Ta'ala is listening to you and you are in fact a lover who is humbly addressing his beloved.
10. Regular reading of the virtues of the Holy Qur'an by Hadhrat Moulana Zakariyya (Rahmatullah Alaihi) will surely engender within one some idea of the sanctity of

Anyway

Anyway
********
People are often unreasonable,
Illogical and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind,
People may accuseYou of selfish motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful,
You will win some false friendsAnd some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank,
People may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building,
Someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness,
They may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today,
People will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have,
And it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you have anyway.
You see, in the final analysis,
It is between you and God;
It never was between you and them anyway.
~Mother Teresa~
SADIQ from Darulsafa.

25_Dua

Assalaamu Alaykum.

25 Duas from the Holy Quran:

(And when My servants ask thee concerning Me, I am indeed close (to them):
I respond to the dua (prayer) of every suppliant when they calleth on Me - Quran 2:186)
1. Our Lord! Grant us good in this world and good in the life to come and keep us safe from the torment of the Fire (2:201)
2. Our Lord! Bestow on us endurance and make our foothold sure and give us help against those who reject faith. (2:250)
3. Our Lord! Take us not to task if we forget or fall into error. (2:286)
4. Our Lord! Lay not upon us such a burden as You did lay upon those before us. (2:286)
5. Our Lord! Impose not on us that which we have not the strength to bear, grant us forgiveness and have mercy on us. You are our Protector. Help us against those who deny the truth. (2:286)
6. Our Lord! Let not our hearts deviate from the truth after You have guided us, and bestow upon us mercy from Your grace. Verily You are the Giver of bounties without measure. (3:8)
7. Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and the lack of moderation in our doings, and make firm
our steps and succour us against those who deny the truth. (3:147)

8. Our Lord! Whomsoever You shall commit to the Fire, truly You have brought [him] to disgrace, and never will wrongdoers find any helpers (3:192)
9. Our Lord! Behold we have heard a voice calling us unto faith: "Believe in your Lord" and we have believed.(3:193)
10. Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and efface our bad deeds and take our souls in the company of the righteous. (3:193)

11. Our Lord! And grant us that which you have promised to us by Your messengers and save us from shame on the Day of Judgement. Verily You never fail to fulfill Your promise. (3:194)
12. Our Lord! We have sinned against ourselves, and unless You grant us forgiveness and bestow Your mercy upon us, we shall most certainly be lost! (7:23)
13. Our Lord! Place us not among the people who have been guilty of evildoing. (7:47)
14. Our Lord! Lay open the truth between us and our people, for You are the best of all to
lay open the truth. (7:89)
15. Our Lord! Pour out on us patience and constancy, and make us die as those who have
surrendered themselves unto You. (7:126)
16. Our Lord! Make us not a trial for the evildoing folk, and save as by Your mercy from
people who deny the truth (10:85-86)
17. Our Lord! You truly know all that we may hide [in our hearts] as well as all that we bring into the open, for nothing whatever, be it on earth or in heaven, remains hidden from Allah (14:38)
18. Our Lord! Bestow on us mercy from Your presence and dispose of our affairs for us in the right way. (18:10)
19. Our Lord! Grant that our spouses and our offspring be a comfort to our eyes, and give
us the grace to lead those who are conscious of You. (25:74)
20. Our Lord! You embrace all things within Your Grace and Knowledge, forgive those who repent and follow Your path, and ward off from them the punishment of Hell. (40:7)
21. Our Lord! Make them enter the Garden of Eden which You have promised to them, and to the righteous from among their fathers, their wives and their offspring, for verily You are alone the Almighty and the truly Wise. (40:8)
22. Our Lord! Relieve us of the torment, for we do really believe. (44:12)
23. Our Lord! Forgive us our sins as well as those of our brethren who proceeded us in faith and let not our hearts entertain any unworthy thoughts or feelings against [any of] those who have believed. Our Lord! You are indeed full of kindness and Most Merciful (59:10)
24. Our Lord! In You we have placed our trust, and to You do we turn in repentance, for unto You is the end of all journeys. (60:4)
25. Our Lord! Perfect our light for us and forgive us our sins, for verily You have power
over all things. (66:8)
